Washington Enters Boston

March 20, 1776

After 333 days of seige, George Washington rides into Boston.

British forces left behind damaged defenses and scattered supplies. American soldiers move through the streets, establish order, and secure remaining positions along the harbor and surrounding heights. Civilians begin returning as military presence settles into routine.

The town is held, but the war has shifted elsewhere.
